More concretely, it is a method of supplying electrical equipment that allows the use of only an RJ45 cable.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"ps-block ps-block--heading\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__container\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__grid\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__content\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__body\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__item\">\n \n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">POE \u2013 Foreword<\/h2>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"ps-block ps-block--paragraph\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__container\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__grid\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__content\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__body\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__item\">\n \n<p>POE technology enables power and data to be routed through the same Ethernet cable to electrical terminals. While in 2003, the year <a href=\"https:\/\/professionnels.promotelec.com\/fiche-dossier\/quels-sont-les-avantages-du-power-over-ethernet-poe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">it was launched<\/a>, the voltage delivered reached 13 watts, now it has evolved a lot to deliver 26 watts today in addition to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.journaldunet.fr\/web-tech\/dictionnaire-de-l-iot\/1491627-poe-un-reseau-qui-relie-le-smart-building-et-l-industrie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">data rate of <\/a>100 Mbit\/s or 1 Gbit\/s. Other higher powers exist but remain little used to this day.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"ps-block ps-block--paragraph\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__container\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__grid\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__content\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__body\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__item\">\n \n<p>The players in the construction industry understood very early this innovation, seeing all the interest it represented. The revolution was that having to pull only one cable was a substantial cost savings while ensuring greater scalability and making it easier to expand or relocate electrical terminals.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"ps-block ps-block--paragraph\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__container\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__grid\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__content\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__body\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__item\">\n \n<p>Today, POE technology goes hand in hand with the notion of Smart Building, since it makes it possible to easily power and connect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.i-scoop.eu\/building-management-building-management-systems-bms\/power-over-ethernet-poe-standard-cabling-iot-building-systems\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">all kinds of connected objects<\/a>&nbsp;(camera, intercom, telephone, wifi, etc.) from a single computer bay. We choose the POE for several reasons:<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"ps-block ps-block--paragraph\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__container\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__grid\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__content\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__body\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__item\">\n \n<p>\u2013 The economic argument already mentioned above is undeniable for our customers.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"ps-block ps-block--paragraph\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__container\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__grid\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__content\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__body\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__item\">\n \n<p>\u2013 POE technology offers real simplicity during installation (we generally install in already finished buildings) and when moving our terminals, a single cable is sufficient connecting the POE switch and the equipment.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"ps-block ps-block--paragraph\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__container\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__grid\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__content\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__body\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__item\">\n \n<p>\u2013 The safety constraints are lower than to deploy electric cables in places open to the public, the presence of an electrician is not required during installation.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"ps-block ps-block--paragraph\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__container\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__grid\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__content\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__body\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__item\">\n \n<p>\u2013 Maintenance is simplified since, in the event of a malfunction, only one cable must be checked.
