Then, rather than wait for the postman to ring the doorbell three days later, you go to the shop and collect it yourself.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"ps-block ps-block--paragraph\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__container\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__grid\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__content\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__body\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__item\">\n \n<p>In the wake of the era of internet shopping, brands have come to understand the need to offer both an online and brick and mortar presence \u2013 the two are complimentary rather than independent.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"ps-block ps-block--heading\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__container\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__grid\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__content\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__body\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__item\">\n \n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How does Click &amp; Collect work?<\/h2>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"ps-block ps-block--paragraph\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__container\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__grid\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__content\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__body\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__item\">\n \n<p>A brand offers shoppers both online and in-store shopping. First, the customer buys a product on-line. They are then offered different delivery options: home delivery, delivery to a distribution centre or\u00a0<strong>collection in-store.<\/strong>\u00a0If they choose the latter, they then select the most convenient store location and time slot (through\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esii.com\/en\/solutions\/online-appointment-solution\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online appointment booking<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"ps-block ps-block--paragraph\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__container\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__grid\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__content\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__body\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__item\">\n \n<p>The customer can then alert staff of their arrival in-store for purchase collection by scanning a bar code\/QR code sent with their email\/MMS booking confirmation at a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esii.com\/en\/solutions\/interactive-kiosk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kiosk<\/a>. Digital screens displaying brand messages are used to keep customers informed of their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esii.com\/en\/solutions\/click-and-collect-solution\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">order progress<\/a>\u00a0(\u2018processing\u2019\/\u2019ready at collection point\u2019 etc). Once the order is ready, an advisor brings it to the customer for collection.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"ps-block ps-block--paragraph\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__container\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__grid\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__content\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__body\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__item\">\n \n<p>According to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.economiematin.fr\/les-experts\/item\/7064-web-to-store-commerce-magasin-services\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Economie Matin<\/em><\/a>, \u201cthese digital tools\u2026could allow brands to respond to consumer needs with possible uses including; queue management, stock level management etc.\u201d<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"ps-block ps-block--heading\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__container\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__grid\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__content\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__body\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__item\">\n \n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Big brands are buying into the idea<\/h2>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"ps-block ps-block--paragraph\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__container\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__grid\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__content\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__body\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__item\">\n \n<p>Brands from all areas of retail (clothing, domestic appliances, books, \u00a0etc.) have started to offer their customers a click &amp; collect option:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/finance\/newsbysector\/retailandconsumer\/10406960\/Tesco-expands-click-and-collect-in-Asia.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Tesco<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.retail-week.com\/multichannel\/house-of-fraser-pilots-click-and-collect-floor-in-edinburgh-store\/5054365.article\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>House of Fraser<\/em><\/a>\u00a0have all set up their own service. In September, a new click &amp; collect partnership was established between\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/business\/2013\/sep\/24\/ebay-argos-click-and-collect-service\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Argos and eBay<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"ps-block ps-block--paragraph\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__container\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__grid\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__content\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__body\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__item\">\n \n<p>They stand to benefit from the move to click &amp; collect in many ways:\u00a0\u00a0<strong>reduced logistical costs<\/strong>\u00a0(packaging, deliveries, returns etc),\u00a0<strong>attracting armchair internet shoppers to attend the store\u00a0<\/strong>and thus potentially<strong>\u00a0increasing turnover<\/strong>,<strong>\u00a0increasing customer loyalty\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>improving customer satisfaction<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"ps-block ps-block--paragraph\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__container\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__grid\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__content\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__body\">\n <div class=\"ps-block__item\">\n \n<p>A strong presence on social networks is an essential step in improving customer relations and rewarding\u00a0 customer loyalty.
